PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS DAN LEVERAGE TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of profitability and leverage on the firm value in the consumer goods
industry at manufacturing companies listed on The Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2016-2020 period. The
research was quantitative. Furthermore, the research population used the consumer goods industry at
manufacturing companies listed on The Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2016-2020 period, while the research
data collection used a purposive sampling technique obtained 35 companies with the criteria given. Moreover, the
research data analysis technique used the multiple linear regressions analysis methods with Statistical Product
and Service Solution (SPSS) program. The research result concluded that profitability had a positive and
significant effect on the firm value, which men the high or low of the profitability would affect the firm value so
that if the profitability value was high, it was followed by the increase of firm value. Leverage did not affect the
firm value; the high and low leverage did not affect the firm value.
