Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of the disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as
moderating variable of financial performance; which referred to Return On Equity (ROE) and Debt to Equity
Ratio (DER) on firm value, which referred to Price to Book Value (PBV). The population was Food and Beverages
companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2016-2020. Moreover, the research was
quantitative. Furthermore, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based
on criteria given. In line with that, there were 14 Food and Beverages companies which fulfilled the criteria as
the sample; with 61 observations data. Additionally, the data analysis technique used Moderated Regression
Analysis (MRA) with SPSS 27. The research result concluded that Retun On Equity as well as Debt to Equity
Ratio had an insignificant effect on firm value. In addition, the disclosure of CSR as a moderating variable
strengthened the effect of Return On Equity on firm value. On the other hand, the disclosure of CSR as a
moderating variable could notmoderate the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio on firm value.
