Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of financial performance and accounting prudence on firm value with managerial ownership as a moderating variable. While, the independent variables were financial performance, which was measured by Retrun on Asset and accounting prudence which was measured by accrual conservatism. Meanwhile, the dependent variable was firm value which was measured by Tobin’s Q ratio and managerial ownership as a moderating variable. The research was quantitative-correlational. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based oh 4 criteria given. In line with, there were 195 data from 39 manufacturing companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2015-2019. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple regression with SPSS 25. The research result concluded that financial performance had a positive effect on firm value. On the other hand, accounting prudence did not effect firm value. In addition, managerial ownership lowered the effect of financial performance on firm value. Besides, it could not moderate in the effect of accounting prudence on firm value.
