Abstract

The research aimed to find out the effect of Corporate Governance Perception Index quality, Leverage, companies’ financial performance and institutional ownership on firm value. While Corporate Governance Perception Index quality variable was measured by scored of Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI), Leverage variable was measured by Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR), Companies’ Financial Performance variable was measured by Return On Assets (ROA) and Institutional Ownership variable was measured by institutional ownership (INST) and firm value as the dependent variable was measured by Tobin’s Q. While, the population was 54 companies which were listed on Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) by The Indonesian Institute of Corporate Governance (IICG) during 2014-2018 (5 years). Moreover the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on criteria given. In line with, there were 66 samples from 54 companies which were listed on CGPI. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple regression with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 23. Based on the research result, it concluded partially, Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) quality did not affected on firm value. Likewise, institutional ownership did not affect on firm value. On the other hand, leverage and finance performance had positive effect on firm value.
