Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain whether there is positive influence on the implementation of new information system of technology to the performance of the employees on PT Sepatu Bata Tbk Surabaya and trust to the new information system of technology in moderating the implementation of new information system of technology to the performance of the employees on PT Sepatu Bata Tbk Surabaya. This research is a comparative causal research; it is a research with the characteristic of the problem in the form of causal relationship between two variables or more. The survey method is conducted by issuing questionnaires which is prepared by using likert scale in order to measure someone’s response into 5 points which consist of 21 questions; these questionnaires are issued in order to be filled in by 50 employees of PT Sepatu Bata Tbk Surabaya. The result of the research of the implementation of new information system of technology and the trust of new information system of technology have positive influence to the performance of the employees. The result of multiple linear regressions analysis on the implementation of new information system of technology and the trust of new information system of technology shows that is marked positive, it indicates the unidirectional correlation. The hypothesis test which is done by using t-test obtains the significance value, it can be concluded that ha is accepted, meanwhile the trust obtains the significance value, it can be concluded that ha is accepted, meanwhile the moderate variable obtains the significance value, it can be concluded that the interaction between the new information system of technology to the performance of the employees can be moderated by the trust to the new information system of technology. The result of f-test generates the significance value, or it can be stated that the implementation and the trust have influence to the performance of the employees. The result of R square test obtains the r value, it means that the correlation of the attachment is firm. This research shows that the implementation of new information system of technology has positive influence to the performance of the employees of PT Sepatu Bata Tbk Surabaya and the trust to the new information system of technology can moderate the implementation of new information system of technology to the performance of the employees of PT Sepatu Bata Tbk Surabaya.
