Abstract

Profitability reflects company’s performance through its ability in earning some profits. Therefore, this research
aimed to examine and analyze the effect of managerial ownership, leverage, firm size on profitability of Property
and Real Estate companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2016-2018. The research was
quantitive. While, the population was 40 Property and Real Estate companies which were listed on Indonesia
Stock Exchange (IDX) 2016-2018. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which
the sample was based on criteria given. In line with, there were 18 companies as sample. Furthermore, the data
were secondary, which in the form of documentation of annual reports of Property and Real Estate companies
2016-2018. In addition, the data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The research result
concluded managerial ownership had negative effect on profitability of Property and Real Estate companies. On
the other hand, leverage did not affect profitability of Property and Real Estate companies. Likewise, firm size did
not affect profitability of Property and Real Estate companies.
