PENGARUH KINERJA KEUANGAN, PERTUMBUHAN PENJUALAN DAN UKURAN PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP FINANCIAL DISTRESS

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effect of financial performance, sales growth, and company size on financial distress in manufacturing companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2015–2017. This research was quantitative. While, the sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely sampling selection with criteria determined by the researcher. Furthermore, the data used secondary in the form on financial statements. Moreover, there were 26 manufacturing companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015–2017 with 78 observations. While, the financial distress was expressed as a dummy variable, which categorized as 1 (one) for companies that had financial distress. On the other hand, 0 (zero) for companies which did not have financial distress. In addition, the data analysis instrument used logistic regression with the SPSS program version 23. The research results concluded profitability, and sales grwoth had negative effect on financial distress. Moreover, liquidity an leverage did not affect on financial distress. On the other hand, the suze of company had positive effect on the financial distress.
