Abstract

The research aimed to examine the effect of financial performance on company value which referred to corporate social responsibility as moderation variable. While, the data collection technique used purposive sampling. Moreover, the population was manufacturing Food and Beverages companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2017. According to the criteria, there were 9 manufacturing Food and Beverages companies as sample. In addition, the data analysis method used simple regression linier analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). The research result showed tcounted of -3.538 with significance of 0.001, less than 0.05. It meant financial performance had negative significant on company value. While, from the second hypothesis in which to examine whether CSR could affect financial performance on company value, it showed tcounted of -5.211 with significance score of 0.000 less than 0.05. In other words, the CSR could affect financial performance on company value in negative way. In conclusion, financial performance which referred to Return On Assets (ROA), with Corporate Social Responsibility as moderation variable decreased the effect of financial performance on company value.
