Abstract

The intention of this research was to test the influence of corporate social responsibility and profitability to the company value. The population in this research was obtained by using purposive sampling method at the companies in industrial sector of consumer goods that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2012-2016 period.Based on the predetermined criteria, the samples obtained were 18 companies in industrial sector of consumers’ goods with total observation of 90 companies. Therefore, this research used multiple linear regression analysis for analysis method with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). The result showed that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) had negative and significant influences to the company value with significance level of 0,043. This indicated that Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure that had been done by companies not being able to give a good contribution to the companies. So they were not able to communicate the social responsibility properly. While the profitability variable had positive and significant influences to the company value in significant level of 0,035. This showed that higher profitability level that earned by the company would be able to increase the company value.
